What mode do you use for taking those pics? auto?

Some of the moving car ones with the doors in them, if you use auto modes, use action so it shows action, ofterwise the car looks stationary' if you are using manual mode, maybe increase the shutter speed to show movement in the frame.

What do you use to resize the photos? them seem to be very compressed, ir is it just me?

Other than that, nice pics

i use sports and profile for most of my pics, used manual for a while so that was fun but photos didnt really change to much and now im using the Tv and Av settings, i use the windows program that comes standard trying to find a good program that also does batch.

yeah i know i got the door in it but i liked the pic of the car so it didnt really bother me about the door trim, easy to crop it out.

also i know about the whole blurr thing but i like to get the rims in while it is running mind u they look cool all blurred but its awsome having a car doing 100+ kms on the highway with stationary rims, mate hegsi of mine got me into those pics as he has one of TAN (05lyo) skyline going on the highway with the background blurred and the rims stationary looked sweet and that was straight off the camera and it was on a 300d
Lance
Your photos, but remember, if you wana get them C+C'ed that you take others opinions on board. But if you happy thats cool too smile.gif
BADEZ
yeah i know i do take it all on board and i try the ways people say, and sometimes it turns out nice but i dont get enough time to go out get pics and maximise my use of it, its more of a hobby and not a job, but i do see waht people do and try do it myself but some of the photographers i know dont wanna help or they say just trial and error, thats why at the last drift day i tried pan shooting, came out good just gotta get practise which is hard when im always a driver and never a passenger
Phat999
nice pics man

Cool pics

Seeing these pics I realised that I suck at taking photos, yet it might just be the camera too.

Yes yes it is the camera........okay so its my excuse and I am sticking too it. facesjump.gif

hey guys if anyone can help me find a program to resize my pics would be great and any help in reducing noise will be greatly aprreciated

ill give you a hot tip.... use a bigger aperture (i.e smaller number....F2.8 etc) with a telephoto lens and a big aperture, you'll be able to throw the background out of focus. like that photo of the orange rota....as it currently is....the background is stealing emphasis off the car and you dont want that....who really cares what color the house is in the background? tongue.gif

neways give that a shot smile.gif there are some nice pics there

hey guys just some more still using same programs, but tryed to keep it simple

two of these pics are taken as long exposure non tripod(in hand) shots

In the last batch of photos, its underexposed you can tell by using the histogram feature on the 350D it shows the highlights, and where you loose colour (underexposed) ie the whihte wall is grey, try slowing down the shutter speed or using a bigger appeture.

With the hisogram (hit the info button until you see it) it shows you loose of highlights when its stacked to the left, or where there is to much light (overexposed) to the right, of course not every photo is gonna be the same, but try and get the histogram to be wavey in the center of it. Its hard to explain, but in a lot of photography mags they show you in more detail.

I learned to use this feature (since I am only a beginner) because I cant pick the variables I need to take a shot, and the histogram helps me ALOT.

Hope it helps, if you have any questions on it, post away, and a member or I will try and help you out.

EDIT: In regards to resizing photoshop you can use, or a batch image resizer. As for noise, have a look in the darkroom section of this forum and mattson has a helpful tutorial to help you out with that

Nice shots dude, but remember to only use angles when ABSOLUTLEY NECESARY othwise it just pisses people off, the only real reason people do it is if the car is too close, their lense is not wide enough and they have to use an angle. Especially on the boat one, it looks really wierd, its a sailing boat, they are slow and calm, not sideways!

Other than that, I love the 5th and the last ones, they look great.
The 5th one needs to be cropped though, u have the ledge in the pic and it kinda ruins it.
No offence but the first one is a bit boring. its just like what u see every day in the city. take it at sunset/sunrise when there are cool silhouettes and nice lights around.

I dont mean to be rude, but if u actually take it on board it helps a shitload. I learnt from scratch by taking advice on this site.

Cheers
Harry
Lance
I agree with Harry. Another thing, see if you can grab a polarising filter, will bring out colours (IE sky) more.
BADEZ
yeah im looking at filters and the first one was my first day up the coast and the photos are stiched together, my sister took the camera off me on my like 3rd day of holidays at abot 4 am to get some pic she got some good ones, ill post em up if she lets me
Lance
Only buy a polarisor, the rest can be done in photoshop.
BADEZ
oh yeah and the raeson why the boat is that way was becuase i was shooting over a barrier and was on a slight angle but the boat was beautiful if u ever head to maloolaba and do to the warf ull have to see it if its docked

Really good photo's. Just the one of the Import Auto Parts 180 just feel you needed to crop the sign out of the bottom of the pic is just a bit distracting.
