nice work lance, good stuff
i agree with you and the judges and where you are coming from but personally the crooked horion does distract me a bit and lets the shot down, but that is my own thought anyway
but non the less still a great shot lance and congrats on claiming it a 2nd time

I agree, I dont like that shot for the simple fact it isnt straight

Hmmm, not much contrast in colors, or variety of colors. I see the effect going for in the crooked horizon, but in scenery photographs a crooked horizon doesn't suit, crooked horizons generaly suit abstract or artistic shots. Not very good lighting.
Not one of my favourites, seen alot better from "DR1F7".

I was standing up when i took it, didnt wana lie down, I dont fancy forking out for another 350D so i took the shot standing up. I was gonna readjust it in photoshop, but then I dont like post editing, mostly all I do is crop, and add a border. Thats all.

I enjoy these lower perspective shots.
I can see some sort of cityscape in the distance? Complements the scene - very subtle.
That is actually surfer paradise

ok it is a nice photo, but it could be so much better..........try use AUTO CORRECT in the program and that will bring the colour out of the photo so much more then it is.
Auto correct is cheating, I find it easier to retake the shot, learning to use the histogram, and adjust from there, rather than post edit. Photography is picture taking, art is using photoshop I feel. I am not an artist, I am a photographer.
Cheers matt and everyone else for their points, I love hearing C+C, keep it comming
