It's a snapshot of a sunset. Not meritorious in itself, but the reflections on the water are great. I have a problem with the big chunk of "darkness" in the bottom right corner, though. A better vantage point could have turned this snapshot into a photo. Generally I wouldn't include the bank in the photo unless there was something interesting on/about it, then some dramatic filter use could have made a more interesting photo.

lol, no, i didnt mean it like that, I ment matt, and his hand (typing)

i know mate smile.gif

but in case people are wondering - there are definate judges, three to be precise, 2 male, 1 female, aged 25-31, one is a seasoned photographer, another a musician and the other is an accountant.

I send them the list of weekly submissions (all photos posted from that week in .jpg format) and they judge them as a panel.

Obviously - my personal submissions are not included in the batch as that would be unfair

I am a completely unbiased third party specatator, and my opinion counts for nil, I only make the announcement.

- hope this clears things up

Sounds so official

That it does..

and if the Seasoned Photography also has Constructive Critisism about our photos. that would be great..
As some of us are still learning, but have the eye for this kind of thing... well thats what i think anyways

i slightly agree with this, but i think that the bank is needed, but not soo much of it. It is a distracting darkness in that bottom corner, but everything else is dark aswell, so its not totally out of place. Maybe a fraction of a turn to your left and it would have been 100% sweet.

Nice photo mate.
dj_brad_k
thanks or the critism guys.

thanks for the tip bigshow i have taken many of tips from you before, but there is a reason the bank is there and so much of it.

i wanted to have the duck in the left hand side of the frame, and if i had turned the camera to the left slightly to get rid of some of the bank, this would of left the duck in the center and to me the placement of the duck wouldnt of been as affective, but im sure some people will beg to differ.

i also added the bank into the photograph to add some line, if i hadnt the only other line formation in the photo that stands out is the horizon which myself i would of thought it would be very basic but im sure again people will beg to differ with that.

cheers again guys, all c&c is taken on board
