Pics and links to vidz and links to galleries, and anything to with the drifting at Powercruise #6 at Eastern Creek Raceway, March 2006.

Me personally, I had an excellent weekend (LONG but worth it).
For those who cant put a nick/name to the face, I am the orange mohawked one who ran "Drift Central" at Powercruise '06 and also '05 at ECR.
Thanks to everyone who showed up and drifted as much as we could all weekend, especially the demo drifters who we organised to put on some shows. Once again we've shown the donut, powerskid, burnout guys that drifting is THE next big thing and that its not anywhere near as easy as our top drivers make it look.

Thanks to:
Andy, John, Eugene, Tony, Robbie, Fernando, Darren, Bryce, Chris, Mark, Rick, Colin, Drift Cat, um, I'm sure I've forgotten a few of the guys, so sorry to anyone I have forgotten.
HUGE thanks to Jason for being my "right hand man" all weekend. Theres no way you can run an event like this without the sort of help he gave me.
Thanks to Gup, Bolsey, Dan and all of the other guys who run Powercruise as its about the only chance we get to run the full ECR circuit and it has to rank as one of the best (if not THE best) drift circuit in Australia at this time.

Keep the comments, etc. coming, but FFS dont turn it into a "Driver X sucks and I dont like him" thread.

Notice when Eugene smacked into the wall that he had a passenger cam, was this during practise or a demo run?
DZ
It was a demo/display run and passengers had been authorised by CAMS as long as they had the appropriate licencing and safety gear.
On Sunday, after the incident, I stopped cars fishtailing the front straight in demo's and also only had passengers in 4 cars (Robbie, Fernando, Danny and Dave Brown).

*oh, theres a couple I forgot to thank. Danny and Dave from ADD Motorsport*

Cheers man just courious cause was told it was on the front straight and the speed cut came in.

Bingo!
About 15 cars, just on dusk, drifting the entire track except turn 1 (as the burnouts were already setup and in a hazardous place). CAMS were very good to us all weekend, as we have proven ourselves to be extremely safety conscious and capable.
I just wish I wasnt stuck up on turn 9 after sending the guys off, as I didnt get to see 15 of Australia's top drifters fishtailing down the front straight (Big-X style but even better according to some reports).
And yeah, Eugene was sideways when he hit 180 and the speed cut kicked in and flicked him back the opposite direction and into the wall backwards. Once again, the reports I got from people on the straight is that the HUGE skill levels shown by the drifters following him was incredible. Without missing a beat, they drifted both sides of Eugenes stricken car without so much as a scrape as it bounced off the wall back onto the track.

And also commiserations to Andy who spit a diff (after thinking it was the tail shaft) and then the one he got wouldnt mate up to his axles or housing.
He spent a large part of the weekend with his head under the back of his Hachi and with a diff split open between his legs.
Better luck back up here mate.
