OK so ive got a new camera 5mp kodak
and ive notice that its coming up with blocky images

see its kinda good in small pic but go any bigger and the lines of the car get realy shitty

What model Kodak is it?

It's not too bad in all reality - especially in full sunlight. I think part of the problem is noise which tends to show itself in underexposed (parts of) images. Even on my 10D I get a bit disappointed with the image quality sometimes - however, I believe this to be primarily because of the Sigma lenses I use and secondly because of 400+ ISO's and underexposure in some areas.

Make sure your camera is set to take "full quality" images if it has that option.

The lines of the car going really shitty you describe could be just ImageShack or whatever program you use to view the pics. If you do an actual resize to, say, 1024x768 instead of just viewing scaled images you'll find that the lines are smooth.

Yeah, the lines aren't blocky if you view it at full size, it's just when internet explorer or other photo viewing program makes it smaller for viewing (so it fits in the screen area). The reason it looks choppy is because when programs resize images for viewing, they usually just chop out half of the pixels. But if you actually go and resize the image (image/resample or somethign to that effect), the program will resize it properly and get rid of the blockyness.
If you do alot of camera work, best to keep your original images unaltered, as once you make an image smaller, you can't make it bigger again without loosing image quality.
