specs look similar to a viper, vipers have an 8L 375kw too. One thing i dont like is the hood and engine bay, look how small it is. The classic corvette's whole front end lifts up, one thing they should have kept. |

QUOTE(Euro $tyle @ Aug 19 2005, 11:10 PM) is that the same engine found in the HSV GTS???all i know is the corvette callaway is the engine.. either way its a damn fine car. no its not the engine in the HSV GTS, the LS7 just came out in the corvettes meaning it wont hit australia for years i gather, the new HSV GTS has the LS2. and the corvette callaway is the engine????? what the F#$k!!!!!! the corvette callaway engine came out in 1987/1988 (same production time as mine) and it was an option (an expensive one, $20,000 US and remember that was in 1987) it was a Twin Turbo set up on the V8 that meant it was the fastest production car of all time (back then). i think the callaway only lasted till about 1992 when the LT1 came in, before that the callaway conversion was done on the L98. the callaway corvette does not exist anymore.
yes 100% yes. the commodores here are so out of date. the corvette had the LS1 & LS2 years before commodore brought it out in their "top of the range cars". the LS1 came out in the corvette in 1997. i hope thats a little bit more info on the subject. cheers bushy This post has been edited by ssspulsardriver: Aug 21 2005, 07:03 PM |

Man our imported V8's are so out of date. Bring me a blown LS7! I would need to be sponsered by a tyre company just to drive to the supermarket and back once a week. |

thats a hot ride, the only problem i have with corvette's is that they have none to be really loose at the back end when you give it some coming out of corners, but it is hot car

There was a supercharged one of these that lapped the Nurburgring in a rediculous time. 7min 40 seconds to be exact, thats 20 seconds quicker than a 911 Porsche!!!
