Pretty straight foward really. Go get a registration papers from QT and has all the gaps you need to fill.

Not rocket science.

if your car came out with a padded center steering wheel and u changed it so it dosent. ull need a blue plate.
as for exhaust and front mount. if u get the blue plate u may as well add any modifications. ex wheels. exhaust engine mods interior mods so forth

yea it had plates but they were expired so i got new ones. its got front mount and had a turbo dropped in it but it had the mod plate. so im not too sure if youll need one or not. i would just say ask em when your there... or if they dont ask about it dont say anything. mine had to be inspected there again cuz its an import. but you should be fine.

Please stop answering questions when you have no idea of the answer.

You do not pay 10% duty. You can't get a blue plate for a steering wheel, exhaust or FMIC.

To get the car registered you first need to get a Safety Certificate, which is the correct name for your Road Worthy Certificate. You also have to organise your CTP insurance. You then complete the applicable paperwork for registering the vehicle, go into a QT CSC and pay your registration fees for 6 or 12 months, your plate fee and if applicable, stamp duty, which varies from 3-4.5% of the purchase price depending on the engine size. Once you've done that, they may or may not check the vehicle numbers, you'll get your plates and off you go. If you have your CTP and all your completed paperwork, you are legally allowed to drive the vehicle from your home to an Inspection Station for your Safety Certificate, then directly to a QT CSC to register it.

This is the paperwork you need to fill out - http://www.support.transport.qld.gov.au/qt...LE/F3518_es.pdf

You can also get an idea of the costs involved (excluding the Safety Certificate, which varies between $60-$100 depending on whether you get a mobile guy out or not) - https://www.service.transport.qld.gov.au/eQuote/eQuote.jsp

im telling him what happened to us. and also what qld dprtmnt of transprt have told me. so dont blow up at me for being told differnt to u.

u can put what every you want on ur safety. ie exhaust ( for noise restrictions) steering wheel ( for padded bit) its illegal to change it without a safety cert. same with airbaged steering wheels.
and wheels for load ratings and rolling diameter

There is no deal. You cannot transfer registration between States.

You do the exact same thing as listed above, the only difference being that you hand in the number plates from the other State/Territory to cancel that registration. If you have rego remaining, you can apply to that State/Territory's transport department for a refund.
