Sorry but I must agree. Even if you brought a product like Greddy, APEXi, or Blitz for that matter, over the net, there's no one in this country, not even the national distributor, that will back the factory warrenty. I once brought a amp off the net, and when if arrived, not only did it not work, upon closer inspection it was full of nothing but lead.

ok not having a go alright i'm just saying it as i see it... i still buy some things from autobahn and you were the cheapest i could find on my K&N Filter but.... here is an example...
Garrett GT28R turbo... retail for around 2500... of the net from horse power in a box through a deal they do for forum users on nissansilvia.com you can pick one up for around 1500... maybe even a little cheaper... now this comes with full warrenty etc... another example is remote start, paging vyper alarms... think they retail for close to a grand or more... can get one including full 12month manufacturers warrenty for 450... these are all through small companys run by possibly one or 2 people with very little overheads and most of these people work another job so really arent that interested in huge profits... due to autobahn being such a huge franchise company they have fairly high overheads and profit is the main aim of the company not providing enthusiest with good deal... sorry but you will struggle to match prices on a lot of things... good luck though.... |

Hey,
I am up for a bunch of new parts fairly soon for the FTO (looking at a Cusco Clutch, Cusco LSD and C's Shifter) and normally buy stuff off www.perfectrun.com.au with no problems. If anyone knows of anywhere down south that could supply these parts and come "close" to matching the price of perfect run. (taking freight etc etc into account of course....) I am more than willing to support them. Cheers Chris |

QUOTE(NickZ @ Mar 30 2005, 09:23 PM) Ive been thinking about this idea too. I run a very small business in Launceston called "NA-Performance" Im a Microtech ECU dealer and i do wiring jobs, mechanical etc, and ive been looking into supply of intercoolers, custom inlet and exhaust manifolds, turbos and other products as well as fitting them. But i also have a full time job 6 days a week that payes the bills. I really think the pricing of some of these services are to high. I want to do it cheaper. I think a shop front and fitting in the one place for these bits would be a good idea. mate do u have any old microtech ecu for sale ? contact me remon_lazar@hotmail.com any d5 or digi 1 or 2 fuel only with or without handset This post has been edited by remon_lazar: Apr 26 2005, 11:04 PM |
