Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can or has a number of anywhere i can get my 4 point bolt in Cusco half-cage Mod plated and as a 2 seater at the same time?..

Been to a few places lately and most of the guys say they dont have the qualifications to do roll cages...

So any places that anyone can recommend would be good?

Cheers, Ash.

70 for the plate and 1 code and 45 for each code after that I think, was a while ago but I think that's standard rates still.

ask him what you will need to be compliant, so you dont waste his time..

IE minimum padding thickness of 19mm
hi tensile bolts with nylock nuts of a minimum size (cant remember what that was)
obviously need to have the backing plates on,
rear seats and all rear restraints must be removed and holes filled (just put the bolts back in)

Oh ok; so do you think mod plating my cage and 2 seater shouldnt take a great amount of time?

Another thing,, with the cage,, what things are required when it is installed?

I know of high tensile bolts which i have, padding which i have, anything else im unaware of?

Oh yep. Sounds good.

The backing plates?.. I dont think i have those :s.. is that referring to a plate underneath to where the bolts are bolted into the car?

well mine had to have an engine conversion and turbo and back seats plated so definatly would take longer than just cage and back seats, i cant see it being much more than 1 hour... mine was $325 which included travel and 2 and a half hours, had to do a bit of messing round lol, long story.. but yeah i cant see why u wouldnt get out of it for around $200.

half hour max he should give it a quick look over, shake it, write the plate and rivet it on

x2 good guy, very straight forward and easy to deal with smile.gif

he'll prob try and talk you out of having it as a 2 seater tho, as he's had to reconvert alot of the cars he's approved for 2 seaters as customers realised down the track they need the seats lol
