I was thinking of getting Xenon headlights for my pulsar sss.
I was told to get H4 model for a pulsar, so the guy said at supercheap auto.
Are they good quality?
Would nissan dealership have them?
Any other stores recommended?

cheers.

H4 is the bulb size
most of the kits in H4 that are under $100 are pretty shit, plus in a pulsar the light will project all over the shop as you don't have projector headlights (this will annoy the hell out of motorists like myself as your beam will be unguided shooting all over the shop)
buy the brightest legal halogen bulbs you can afford
no Nissan wont sell you Xenon lights, they would be hard pressed selling normal bulbs as oem equivalents are a 1/3rd of the price
I personally am running Calibre blue adr aprroved bulbs I picked up for a tidy sum of $34 from supercheap more than a year ago and for the price they kick ass
if the bulb doesn't have an adr approval don't bother, hardly worth your time

I have the "ebay" HID kits in both my N14 and N15 SSS.

Never had an issue.

Set them up right, and you will be fine.

i sell Xenon H.I.D.s for a fraction of the price as Supercheap/Autobarn and offer the same warranty.. jump on my website www.showoffyatints.com and click on the H.I.D tab, that will tell you everything you need to know about the product and what they look like compared to the normal Halogen bulbs... for a Nissan Pulsar SSS i will need to know what model it is so i can find out what bulb you will need

yeh the H4 ones at supercheap that the guy showed me were $36.
is there a way i could stop the light shooting all over the place? or would i have to buy a specific bulb.
would your calibre bulb fit in a pulsar?
otherwise i would hav no other choice then buying the one the guy offered at supercheap as i dnt want to spend alot of money on them.
also wats an 'adr' ?

No, their not. They are repalcement bulbs with a blue/white light tinge. Supercheap do not sell HID kits.

Calibre bulbs are shit. Get Phillips.

The bulb he is looking at in supercheap may just be a replacement HID bulb.

They are useless unless you have the balast to drive the thing.

Mick, they are H4.

so if the supercheap bulbs are useless and reccomend the H.I.D kits, where could i get these from for a 1998 N15 pulsar.
At a low price aswell as im not looking to dig out the money for headlights.
if they are relatively expensive i guess i will just have to go for the replacement bulbs at supercheap if thats my last resort.

Jesus, if you dont want to spend money on bulbs, get the Calibre's.

If you dont want HID's, go to Autobarn and get some Phillips. No more then 5000k. However, they are around $80+

Just bought some Phillips X-Treme bulbs (2pack) from the UK cost me all of $39 (incl postage) and come with bonus parkers. These are the brightest legal bulbs legally allowed in australia. Get some of them.

this is the guide I used when picking out bulbs, I know you don't have an S15, but it's a good guide as to brightness that someone has had the time to test and take pics of with a comparison to other brands on the market, enjoy smile.gif
