This:

It's a 1978 Chrysler GE Scorpion, factory 5 speed manual, factory air con
These things are basically a base spec Jap market Galant Lambda coupe with a live axle 4-link rear in place of the IRS. Chrysler Australia imported them to fill a niche between the top-spec Sigma and the base Valiant (I think)
It looks like shit in the photo's but it's ridiculously straight and nearly rust free

This is the only rust I'm worried about, basically the only rust in the whole car
It's getting a high compression bastard Astron 1/2 using a Magna bottom end and a 2L Scorpion head (import motor, bigger valves or somesuch) and a stronger 10-bolt LSD centre from a NZ EX Lancer GSR in a GH Scorpion housing in place of the factory 8-bolt open centre item
It cost me $200 two years ago in barely running condition with a nearly rooted import 4G52, everything else was (and still is) mint with 95000km on the car
It'll be staying N/A Astron, maybe with an EFI conversion down the track.

All this is to be done once the sigma is finished and good enough for the Zoom shoot its got lined up.

'70 chev el camino, but its a daily at the same time..

Done all suspension and rubbers, halfway through interior.. Trying to decide whether i should do paint or engine next....
Currently its about 3cm off the ground under the extractors, looks phat. And sits flat through corners. Doesn't bottom out on highway either..

Paint - Either matte or satin black with 2 white stripes over the bonnet. Reverse Camaro cowl on the bonnet, functional.

Engine - Ebay turbo kit on the stock motor, guys in the states are getting 450rwhp off 8:1 350 chevs with cast pistons.. Add valvesprings, lifters, carby, fuel pump, and its good to go. With the dollar the way it is, won't be expensive at all.
There is a good style of manifolds to get, that actually work and are built properly.
I'll put supports on them too so it ain't just the manifolds holding up turbos. When the turbos shit themselves, bolt something else on. Same for motor, when it blows, fix it.

Gearbox - Already brand new, add turbo converter

Diff - Chev 12 bolt conversion with air locker. (currently 10 bolt)

Interior - Red and white leather like my old impala.

Sounds like its gonna be a sweet rig.

WELL i just picked this bad boy up - its a 1972 Galaxie Sedan (NOT a hard top... :-(
It is running a 351, FMX auto and 9" with disc front drum rear.
Only needs minor work mechanically, rust seems to be held very much at bay but will still need some repairs. Very straight body, good interior with the exception of the carpet.
Finished product will be wearing the 22's in the pic, With ruby red paint (maybe even a cherry red/black) and a cream vinyl roof and interior, with black carpet. I have the stock 15's with original chrome hubcaps and whitewalls, so i can change boots depending on the style of event im driving it to.
Plan to have this one for years and years, so itll no doubt change form over the years.

Well it is a MASSIVE car, and the 22's look a treat. Im a big fan of Barry White's super muscle cars, so thats sortof the look im going for, even tho it is a sedan. I love the look of modern mixed with era-correct details.

yeah barry white sure does know his shit..you should make a pro tourer out of it that would be diffearnt.like injected motor and independent suspension and a whole bunch of other shit like that.then the 22s would suit it
