The Motor was fully rebuilt by JC Marine Racing on the gold coast 3yrs ago. This was a 5k full rebuild everything re-machined and balanced and only has 50hrs on it due to bad health. If you ask any marine engine expert they will tell you the Blackmax series are well known to be a bullet proof motor. This boat fully loaded will do 100km's all day. The motor is sprayed down with WD40 after every outing and Impeller changed every 6mths weather it needs it or not, plugs are changed every 25hrs. I run any 2 stroke motor I own a bit rich as it protects the engine a lot better. It's better to blow a little smoke and run a bit richer than to lean. It's a lot cheaper to replace or clean plugs than it is to get re-built.

I have worked in the marine industry for 35yrs custom S/S work and did work for Mustang for many years who I bought this boat from new from the factory in December 2001. It is the last of the good Mustangs who used heavier and more fibreglass to make a stronger boat than is made now by Haines. Haines bought the moulds from Mustang when they went bankrupt and now call it the Haines 1750SS and only changed the transom to accommodate bigger motors. It's a flat bottom plank hull so gets up on plain even at low speed and the faster you go the smoother it gets.

The boat has been meticulously maintained by a caring 50yr old since new and as the listing shows about 6mths ago I replaced and serviced almost everything. It will be sad to see it go as it's been my baby since new. This is a great stable boat for all the family high sides so the kids are safe and it allows you to either ski or fish all day long hassle free. The boat has always been stored under cover and washed down after every outing.I'm just seeing if anyone would like to swap toys or buy, due to health problems it's not getting used much and I would like it. Really want it to go to a good home and be used. I would consider a late model V8 Commodore manual Ute or sedan, 4WD, Hot/Rat Rod but open to anything really may even consider Import.
