Hi All

I have a 2005 Fors Falcon XR6 Turbo Ute (MK2 6 Speed Manual)

I have been struggling with a misfire problem for months and it's
Got to the stage now where two mechanics have given me the car and my money back and told me that they cannot fix it.

Originally the car was giving an "Overboost Error" code, and when it would hit about 4000rpm it would basically hit fuel cut and go into limp mode

Now though, the error code is p1507 Idle Air Control Underspeed error, and the symptoms are that it now has a misfire all the way through the rev range and a very rough idle.

I'm posting on here in the hope that someone has had the same problem or an idea on the solution. Ford claim to have no idea what it may be and google is telling me very little as it's a common code and description used in many models of ford

Is the care almost stalling when idling, and is it tuned? I would look at the throttle position sensor, its common for them to go and it will give those same symptoms. If not try the usual spark plugs, coils, O2 sensor. Maybe the boost selonoid. Could be a cam phaser. But I would put money on it being the tps mate.
